Robert, read your website

I would say look around for other banks or credit unions to deal with

You should be able to trust your Credit Union or Bank to handle your money accounts without all this worry, or be able to work things out if there is a mistake

You deserve to get your money back in full with the problem you had, since you were a loyal customer
got to get the right person to give it back to you

Consumers and Homeowners are not being treated right today

It is not right to take advantage of Innocent, Unknowledgeable Consumers (with hidden fees, or nonunderstandable fine print terms)

“Who is going to Protect their Rights of these Consumers”
We are still trying to find this out.

I would say people must read their bank statements and check their accounts like you, very carefully, we do

Grow tried to charge us late fees on things, I got it dismissed, because it was inaccurate, and
they held extra money in an escrow account, we got that back also, I wrote a letter
So do not give up

I am so glad I found your site. Grow has a loan payment of mine misapplied to someone else’s account which made my account go 30 days past due. There are NO accounts on my credit report 30 days PAST DUE except for Grow.

Interestingly, in July I made the payment and all was good. In mid-August, I was called to say that I still owed $40.08 for July. I asked how that could be since I’d made the payment and the lady said that there was a teller mistake and that I owed, or my account would be 30 days past due.

THAT WAS EARLY AUGUST.

I made both the $40.08 payment AND the August payment and someone, the $40.08 got applied right but the rest went to ???

I have sent them a certified return receipt letter demanding an investigation of where the money was applied. The letter was sent to three different executives: CFO, SVP Loss Prevention, CEO.

To date, I have heard nothing.

IF they do not correct their mishandling of the account, I will file a complaint with either the OCC or the Office of Thrift Supervision (depending on Grow’s charter) for investigation of the illegal practices and correction of their illegal, erroneous, and nefarious placing of a derogatory on my credit report.

In addition to the loan above, which is piddly and only taken out when I moved to FL from another state, and only so that I could establish a banking relationship in FL, Grow lied to my new mortgage company about funding status.

My bank account showed the funds (well over $22,000). Grow said it was the mortgage company’s mistake.

Robert,
Thanks for the insight into the Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) of Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, an obviously doomed financial institution. In an economy where most companies are desperately searching for new ways to get, and keep customers, you have found a Federal Credit Union dinosaur. It is just a matter of time before their business is closed, and the building torn down. I’ll bet all members of upper management have golden parachutes, or maybe unaware of that option, as they are unaware of how to keep customers.

I hope you get your peace and satisfaction with that case. If we do not manage to control the banks worldwide and get transparency, they will not just steal our money but will ruin global economy and promote wars and environment pollution.

I wouldn’t have accepted that either- they could have come after you for anything and you would have been screwed! Make Grow Financial pay you what they owe you without the threat of coming after you for money in the future. Hire a lawyer to draw up a contract if you have to, or sue them again!
