Going against advice other members that are unhappy with Grow, I stopped by to inquire about Insurance and Checking/Savings accounts as I am new to the area. Two employees were discussing business at computer at entrance and did not acknowledge my presence. Teller called me over, and with an attitude I can only refer to as cold and unfriendly, took my name and told me to have a seat. I looked at the four cramped seats and left. These people at the Mariner location in Spring Hill do not understand customer appreciation, and they lost a potential one because of their cold and callous attitudes.

This bank just instituted a new fee schedule (2/15/10), and while expected, the way they apply and calculate their fees is subjective and makes it virtually impossible to know what your balance is. They do not advertise merchant holds on your account, which can sometimes be very different than the actual transaction amount, or held long after your transaction has cleared, so you truly do not know what your available balance is. Hence, lots and lots of fees. Please, for the sake of your hard earned money, do not use this credit union until they get this fixed.

In July 2009 I contacted Grow Financial for a mortgage loan modification. Someone put a hold on all my assets. Guess what, no one will respond to my calls or letters sent to Grow Financial or the NCUA (National Credit Union Asociation). As of November 3, 2009 I still can’t get them for forward my paperwork to Fannie Mae to review my situation for the mortgage loan modification. I have never been late on a payment in over 10 years with them.I have made over 20 phone calls to no avail.I don’t recommend Grow Financial FCU anymore. If you have an issue, FORFET IT!!!!! They will not work with you in any way and do everything they can to avoid helping the consumer. They know who I am but I’ll let them know anyway.Kathleen Trojanowski

Can not be trusted with managing business accounts. Has longest time for clearing deposited checks. Appears to extend check clearing time to collect insufficient fund fees and regular basis.
