(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) By this latest response from Grow it is obvious that the reason they purposely hid the $885.00 fee from me was due to my complaining about the inferior customer service I received from my mortgage loan application by Grow’s senior residential loan officer, Sandra Underwood. How childish to say, “regretful that his subsequent decision to withdraw funds from his money market account did not have the outcome that he anticipated.” This will make good evidence when this matter is taken to court and shows the pettiness involved with this financial institution. Grow has essentially seen fit to penalize me an outrageous fee because I was complaining about their customer service, thinking they are above being complained about. So in their words (basically) by this matter not “having the outcome I anticipated” they are referring to the fee that they robbed me of. When I initially went to the teller to inform her of the withdraw I wanted, I explained the reason why. I asked her to put down for the record that I was taking my money out of the account to draw attention to their terrible customer service. When the management got wind of this, she obviously figured there was a way for her to “get even” by not informing me of this hidden fee, they are now telling me it is my business to know about. Since this fee was never mentioned to me priorly in a fee schedule- written, digital or otherwise; the only way for me to have even realistically known about this fee would be to go to Grow’s website, click through several links and DOWNLOAD an Adobe file that eventually contains the fee schedule that I am supposed to, “understand what fees and policies apply to each an every transaction.” beforehand- no matter how well it is hidden or non-disclosed. To imagine having to do this for ANY kind of withdraw no matter how large or small is utterly ludicrous! And for Grow to say they are “regretful that his (my) subsequent decision to withdraw funds from his money market account did not have the outcome that he anticipated.” is obviously tainted with revenge. I am sure that any judge will be able to read through the lines in this case. I will be looking forward to my time in court with Grow’s lawyer(s) as they add more costs and time to the amount that has already been invested by them. I can assure you I will be seeking compensation for all legal fees as allowed by law. I tried my best to work this out with Grow by allowing them to simply refund the $885.00 fee but they have ignorantly declined all of my amicable attempts. Now we will go the other route and see if this has the final “outcome that I anticipated.” I at no time would like this case closed with the BBB and ask that it remains open indefinitely to be viewed by the public and anyone who might be thinking about doing business with Grow Credit Union.
