2) Complaint Category: Improper collection practices
Complaint: Had an auto loan with Grow Financial, when I traded in the vehicle at a dealership in November 2012, the dealership called Grow to get the pay off amount. They get the pay off amount and so I proceed in purchasing a new vehicle. A few weeks later I Receive a call from Grow telling me that I owe a balance on the vehicle I traded in; Grow admits to giving the incorrect pay off amount to the dealership. They have released the title to the dealership and released the lien on the loan. I have been trying to work things out with them for months and to this day 2/19/2013 it is still not resolved and they are not returning my phone calls. I have received paperwork in the mail that has an amount owed the term says monthly and the vehicle that I traded in as collateral. How can a term from a bank say MONTHLY and a vehicle that they no longer own be used as collateral. I have never signed any paperwork for a new loan with Grow to pay off the amount they say I owe. I feel that I shouldn’t have to pay anything do to their mistake and continued mistakes that have been made by them. Product_Or_Service: Nissan Frontier Account_Number: XXXXXXXXX
